Background

JCI Lion Rock was founded in 1971. It is one of the most energetic chapters of JCI Hong Kong and was named the most outstanding chapter in Asia-Pacific in 1999. Chinese is its official language, and the membership is mixed. Through individual, community, business and international development, members learn and practise management, widen what they know, and live the Jaycee spirit of training oneself by serving the community.

The chapter welcomes young people with warmth and drive. Together they find what they are good at, hold to the belief that service to humanity is the best work of life, and put 「個人訓練,服務社會」 into action.

Events Overview

JCI Lion Rock was founded in 1971 and reaches its 55th year in 2026. The theme is 「賢獅傳承 · 竹聚群英」. It remembers the teachers and friends who have carried the Jaycee spirit, and it takes bamboo — upright, tough, growing — as the picture of the year. The chapter wants a harmonious room where people need not be the same, and where more young leaders are grown for the good of society.

Events Overview

Fifty-five years have been spent on community service, training leaders and international exchange. An anniversary is a look back and a look forward. A series of celebrations will honour past presidents, mentors and members, and invite the community to see the spirit continued. The 55th anniversary celebration is set for 12 December at Harbour Grand Hong Kong. 12/12: save the date.

Events Overview

The 15th 「領袖導師計劃」 remains a main platform for the next generation. Pairing a mentor with a learner lets a young member ask a senior mentor directly, take something useful for work and for life, and try it in community service.

「獅子山學堂」 is a run of workshops on workplace skill, leadership, digital change and the use of colour, so that members stay able in a fast environment and can use what they learn at work and in service.

Events Overview

The flagship community project is 「解壓『猜』『情』『尋』」. It focuses on mental health and managing emotion. Games and community activities make stress relief and honest conversation easier, in answer to a public that is paying more attention to mental health. The design is light, so that people can let pressure go while they play, and find support and a place to belong.

Events Overview

2026 is a milestone. The theme asks the chapter to receive wisdom and gather able people. The anniversary shows the history and the mission. 「領袖導師計劃」, 「獅子山學堂」 and 「解壓『猜』『情』『尋』」 show the work of training youth, serving the community and raising professional skill. Members and friends are invited to keep 12 December free, and to keep supporting Lion Rock’s activities.

JCI Lion Rock’s April monthly fellowship gathering, 「和風遊藝祭」, was held on Wednesday 29 April at the Hong Kong Japanese Culture Association. Fifty members and guests came, including members of the National Board, chapter presidents, past presidents and members. Thank you for making the time.

Events Overview

With the Asia-Pacific Conference in June, and a visit to the sister chapter in Japan, the April monthly fellowship gathering let members taste Japanese culture first. The Association was the partner and offered a range of experiences: an introduction to yukata, wearing one and a dance, simple Japanese, traditional games, and time with Yiyi MOMO.

Events Overview

Members left knowing more about Japan, and better prepared for the conference.

Events Overview

The evening was cultural exchange and also a step in holding the membership together and strengthening international links. The chapter will keep using varied activities to live the Jaycee spirit and to understand and work across cultures.
